Philosophy of
Treatment
At
New Horizons we are committed to providing
services to our targeted population of
individuals with developmental disabilities,
addictive disorders and mental illness. We
believe in the concept of right servicing
consumers with therapies and programs with
evidence-based benefits. To this end, we utilize
a continuum of programs, comprehensive
pharmacological therapies, a level of care
system and multimodal therapies with emphasis,
on assisting our consumers, in enhancing
internal motivation for achieving and
maintaining maximum psychological functioning
and or recovery.
Access to
Services
Persons who wish to make a first appointment for
themselves or their child for mental health or
substance abuse services may call 706-323-0174
or 1-800-241-3659. The Central Access staff
member will conduct a brief interview to obtain
basic information, and will make you an
appointment at the most appropriate service
location. Persons requested intake evaluation
for Developmental Disabilities services may call
Columbus Community Services at 706-494-5929.
Eligibility
Criteria

Must have
a DSMIV TR mental health, substance
abuse or development disability
diagnosis (if you are unsure, Central
Access staff will help you determine if
you meet this requirement)
