What we do
Information
Technology and Telecommunication Services
maintains computer and network services at New Horizons Community Service Board
and assists the staff in maximizing
use of the system.
Consumer Information
Basic demographic
information is collected at the time of intake
on each consumer and entered into the Catalyst
system. The consumer is enrolled (EARFed) in
each service received in a separate electronic
record in the consumer's electronic file. This
information is then available at each program
site of New Horizons through the use of personal
computer's.
All new consumer information,
enrollments or discharges from levels of
treatment, and all Substance Abuse
Supplemental information forms are reported
to the state electronically on a daily basis.
Email
Where required; staff members have Outlook 2003 Email
capabilities to communicate with
other internal and external internet users.
Georgia State Connectivity
Connections to the
Department of Human Resources of the State of
Georgia allow accounting and human resources
personnel the capability of accessing state
employee records and sending/receiving required
state financial reports.
Transmission of Service Authorization
All requests
for service authorization are entered into the
Catalyst system, reviewed by
Utilization Management, and transmitted
electronically to American Psych Systems. APS
reviews all requests for authorization to serve
Medicaid consumers. Information regarding
requests that are "pended" for further review is
received electronically.
Transmission of Claims
The Billing Office
enters data regarding claims to third party
payors into the Catalyst System and
electronically submits requests for payment.
