New Horizons Community Service Board
Developmental Services

Often working closely with other community agencies, Developmental Services provides a wide range of services and supports. Emphasis is placed on keeping developmentally disabled consumers in their community. Priority is also placed on supporting families, allowing them to take care of their disabled family member at home. Services and supports are based on the individual's needs and desires.

Developmental Services serves individuals with developmental disabilities through Day Services Programs, Sheltered and Supported Employment, Community Support and Residential Services.  The Developmental Day Services is a multi-disciplinary team comprised of DDP credentialed and para-professional staff.  This team serves consumers and families with developmental disabilities through psychiatric counseling, and behavior support.  This team also provides financial assistance that supports consumers living in community settings through Family Support and Natural Supports.

Day Services offers Day Habilitation, Day Supports and Supported Employment to consumers with developmental disabilities.  The objective of this program is to help consumers achieve independence through organizational and community-based supported employment.  Day Support Services is a program that strives to provide consumers with community involvement and opportunities.

Developmental Services also provides Residential Services for consumers with developmental disabilities in licensed community living arrangements.  We provide Residential Supports to consumers and families through In-Home Supports and Supported Living Services.  Respite Services are an additional supportive service for families of consumers with developmental disabilities.
