New Horizons Community Service Board is a member of the Georgia Association of Community Service Boards, Inc. GACSB has the mission of promoting the exchange of information; representing the community service boards (CSBs) on legislative and administration matters; and advocating for the highest quality of life for consumers of mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases services.
New Horizons Community Service Board is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
CARF-accredited service providers enjoy international recognition for their commitment to excellence. Consumers may be seeking treatment for addiction and substance abuse, looking for ideal retirement living, needing services for a family member who has a disability, or seeking one of the many health and human service programs. All turn to CARF accreditation as their assurance that the programs and services are of the highest quality. CARF assists professionals and clients in assurance of quality care. Accreditation demonstrates a provider’s commitment to continuously improve service quality and to focus on the satisfaction of the persons served.
CARF International is an independent, accrediting body of health and human services. Examples of the types of services are rehabilitation for a disability, treatment for addiction and substance abuse, home and community services, and retirement living. CARF-accredited service providers have applied CARF’s comprehensive set of standards to all aspects of their service delivery practices. This means that they conform to proven business practices and commit to continuous quality improvement. Each provider’s commitment to excellence is periodically evaluated on site and reconfirmed annually.
